Abbott’s and Marriott’s Lookout Day Trip MOVIE
This was a quick trip down to Maydena to pop up to Abbott's lookout, followed by a bit of a scrubby walk over to Marriott's lookout. Staying at Rathmore Farm the evening before, we drove down to Maydena and even managed a bike ride at Maydena Bike Park!...
The Southern Ranges 2020
I have spent a heck of a lot of time in Southern and South West Tassie but for some reason I had never walked the Southern Ranges between Precipitous Bluff (PB) and Lune River. Sure, I’d been up PB from New River Lagoon in a day trip back on the South West Epic but I’d never actually done the whole Southern Ranges walk. It had been an itch I had been trying to scratch for a long time.

Adamsons Peak – July 2019
Middle of winter in Tasmania means there is little time for Abels. However, this has never put me off and on a work trip to Hobart I found an opportunity at the end of July. I had freed up a day mid week and roped in Ferg and Troy (Hobartian mates) to join me for the...
Abbotts and Marriotts Lookouts
May 2019 We had planned this little sojourn a couple of months prior. Crawf had spotted a free Saturday in his calendar and had asked whether or not a couple of us were keen to join him for a trip to the third shortest and the shortest Abel - Abbotts Lookout and...
